Edward John Trelawny (1792-1881) was an English author whose works include Adventures of a younger son (1831) and Records of Shelley, Byron and the author (1878). In 1805 he joined the Royal Navy and served on various ships including the HMS Superb. Through Edward Ellerker Williams he met Shelley and Byron in 1822 when he visited Pisa, Italy.
